BMC budget to be presented tomorrow

Mumbai, Jun 4 (UNI) The Standing Committee of the BMC will present the budget here tomorrow.

The budget of the civic body will decide the development plans for the city in the coming year.

The education committee of the BMC has been alloted Rs 1,237 crore for this year and the BMC wants to improve the standards of education in its schools.

Opposition Leader of the BMC Rajhans Singh said, ''I am not aware of the proposals mentioned in the budget that will be presented by the Standing Committee Chairman and we will have to wait till tomorrow.'' Once the budget is passed in the House, it will be discussed and then the BMC Commissioner will announce it, he said.

Standing Committe Chairman Ravindra Waikar feigned ignorance about the budget.
