BJP to organise agitation on GO 610 from tomorrow

Hyderabad, Jun 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh unit BJP General Secretary K Laxman today said the party would organise agitational programmes from tomorrow, demanding the government to implement GO 610, providing employment to local people in the Telangana region, by the end of this month.

Addressing the press here, Mr Laxman said the party would organise a dharna in front of the City Police Commissioner office tomorrow, demanding the repatriation of non-locals in police department immediately, as part of its agitational programmes.

Alleging that the state government was not sincere in implementing the GO and was cheating the people of backward Telangana, he said the Yuva Morch would organise dharnas in all district headquarters on June 8 and the party would stage dharnas in Nizamabad and Hyderabad on June 12 and 14 respectively.

Demanding that the government take action and prosecute the officials who violated the GO, Mr Laxman said the Ministers should also resign from the Cabinet if they failed to repatriate the non-locals from their departments by June 30.

Urging all the political parties to fight against the government for violating the 'Presidential orders' and not implementing the GO, he alleged that the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) maintained silence on the implementation of the GO though its ministers were members of the state cabinet during 2004-05.

The BJP leader said the party would be strengthened at village level by constituting village-level committees and fighting against the government on its 'anti-people' policies in future.
