Bandh affects life in Manipur

Imphal, Jun 4 (UNI) A 24-hour bandh to protest the killing of three youths by Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) on May 31 at Wangoi, Imphal, affected life here today.

The bandh to protest the killing of Abung, Naorem Deban and Likmabam Surjit had started yesterday. The Anti-Narcotics Drug Organisation (ANDO) and the Joint Action Committee had called the bandh protesting the killing. All the three were members of ANDO.

All the educational and business establishments were closed and the bandh supporters organised road blockade which were later removed by the police.

All the inter-state bus services were also cancelled in view of the bandh.
