Bad weather delays arrival of IAF round-the-world microlight flight
Bangkok, June 4 (UNI) The arrival of the Indian Air Force's round-the-world microlight aircraft expedition here from Myanmar has been delayed by a day due to bad weather.
Wing Commanders Rahul Monga and Anil Kumar had to return to Yangon yesterday afternoon due to bad weather, Indian embassy officials here told UNI. The aircraft was expected here before noon today.
The duo left Air Force Station in Hindon, India on June 1 on a 39,000 km round-the-world flight on a German-designed CTSW Advance microlight as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the IAF.
They will also land in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Russia, the US, Canada, Turkey, Iran and Oman during their trip before their scheduled return to India on August 4.
