Army captain slipped to death in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 4 (UNI) An army captain slipped to death near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir this morning, official sources said.

They said captain Gautam Sharma of 8th batallion of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLI) along with other troops was on a routine patrolling near LoC when he slipped from a hiltop at Awad Gathur, Chowkibal, Kupwara.

Captain Sharma who had received head injury due to fall was immediately shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The entire border belt experienced rains for the past two days.
