5 killed in two separate road accident
Nashik, Jun 4 (UNI) Five persons were killed and five others injured in two separate road mishaps in the district.
Three persons were killed when a tempo hit a stationary dumper on Mumbai-Agra highway, 20 km from here today.
A tempo was on its way to Nashik from Pimpalgaon when it hit the dumper, which was standing at the roadside, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Motilal Pal (28, resident of Rajapur, Uttar Pradesh), Vindod Vishvanath Chambhe (30, resident of Mangalpur, dist Maharaj ganj, UP) and driver of the tempo Prakash Yadav (30 resident Medhur dist UP).
In another accident, two people were killed and five other injured in a truck-jeep collision at Vadner Bhairav yesterday.
The jeep was moving from Nashik to Malegaon, when a truck hit it from the opposite direction. The passengers of the jeep Satyadevi Bheema Banoti aged 25 and her seven months old child Ishwar Sai Bheema Banoti from Ojher were killed.
Five others including two brothers from Hyderabad, Suhas Ajmase and Sandeep Ajmase, Sheikh Feroz Shaikh Isaq (resident of Manmad) and a couple Laxmi Satyanarayan Chitali and Satyanarayan Chitali (both residents of Ojharmig) were injured in the accident.
A case has been registered against the truck driver.
