Youths rob temple idols

Ghazipur, June 3 (UNI) Two youths robbed idols in broad daylight from a temple in Birni area here today.

The incident took place in Badupur village, when two youths, who entered the temple as devotees tied the temple priest and fled away the idols, police said.

The injured priest has been admitted to hospital.

Irked over the incident, a mob jammed the Ghazipur-Azamgarh highway, which was later opened after police intervention.

A search to nab the accused was on.
