Tamil actress passes away

Chennai, June 3 (UNI) Popular playback singer and yesteryear actor Rathinamala, who had acted in popular films like 'Veerapandiya Kattabomman,' died here today following a prolonged illness.

She was 74.

Rathnamala was suffering from heart ailment and had undergone a surgery two years ago.

The last rites would be performed tomorrow, family sources said.
