NDFB kills ex BLT cadre

Guwahati, June 3 (UNI) A former cadre of the disbanded Bodoland Liberation Tigers (BLT) died today after the was lynched by Nationalist Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants last night in upper Asom.

Police sources said two NDFB militants approached Suresh Bodo, a resident of Merapani in Golaghat district, and lynched him near his house.

Bodo succumbed on the way to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital this morning.

Of late, the ex BLT cadres and the NDFB have been indulging in fights between themselves.

The former BLT cadres have been pressing for quashing of the ceasefire agreement with the militant outfit, contending that the NDFB has carried on killings and extortion taking advantage of the truce.

More than five former BLT cadres were killed by the NDFB last month.
