Mishap kills couple; baby unscathed

Umaria, MP, June 3 (UNI) A motorcycle-borne couple were killed on National Highway 78 when a truck rammed their vehicle near this district's Johila Bridge today but the victims' nine-month-old daughter escaped unscathed, police said.

Susheela Gautinya (25) died on the spot while her husband Vishnu (28) succumbed to his injury at Birsinghpur Pali Hospital.

The truck driver is absconding.
