Andhra Pradesh: Lightning kills five

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, June 3: Five persons were killed and three others suffered burn injuries when lightning struck their hut late last night in Chundi village in Prakasham district.

According to police, the deceased belonged to Reddivaripalem and were working in a brick industry in Chundi. Last night lightning struck their hut, killing two men, two women and a 12-year-old girl instant while they were sleeping.

The injured were admitted to the government hospital in Kandukuru.
