Criminals rob rly station

Pratapgarh, June 3 (UNI) Unidentified criminals today held captive an assistant station master of Manikpur railway station here today and robbed Rs 37,000 in cash.

The incident took place at the Lucknow-Allahabad railway sector, when some miscreants forcefully entered the cabin of Pavan Kumar and robbed the cash amount collected from the sale of tickets at gun point.

The gunmen, injured Pavan and a coolie Chatrapal, and fled the scene after locking the two inside the room, police said.

Investigation was on.
