CPI(M) to stage Maha Dharnas tomorrow

Hyderabad, June 3 (UNI) The CPI(M) today decided to stage 'Mahadharnas' at Collectorates in all the district headquarters of the state tomorrow, demanding house sites and agricultural lands for the poor.

The party demanded that the entire Koneru Ranga Rao Committee report be made public, land problem be resolved, cases foisted against CPI(M) leaders, cadres and the poor be withdrawn, and all those arrested be released, a party release here said.

The state government would be organising a workshop on Koneru Ranga Rao Committee's report on June 12. However, the CPI(M) chose to stage the 'Mahadharnas' ahead of the workshop.

Party sources said State Secretary B V Raghavulu might lead the dharna at the Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Collectorates.

Following the call given by the party today, the police made elaborate arrangements to maintain law and order.
