BJP state meet to formulate strategy: party state president

Jamshedpur, Jun 3 (UNI) The three-day BJP state meeting begining here from June 25 will chalk out the strategy against the Madhu Koda led UPA government in Jharkhand, party state president Pashupati Nath Singh.

Mr Singh, who came here to attend the BJP Kolhan Commissionary meeting being held today, told media persons that the state BJP would launch its agitation against the ''corrupt UPA government'' from the block level in the first phase and then in the district and state level.

He said the people were disenchanted with the UPA government in the state and they wanted a change of guard as the government had failed to fulfil the expectations of the people.

''The days of the Koda government are numbered,'' Mr Singh said.

adding that a concrete plan would be formulated in the state meet to revamp the organisation from the grass-root level.

To a question Mr Singh denied any rift in the rank and file of the party and said differnces of opinion was the part of any democratic party and the BJP was not any exception.

About the party's preparation for the coming Lok Sabha bypolls in the state, to be held shortly, Mr Singh said, ''The party does not need any special preparation as it works for the people through out the year and we are confident of winning the seat.'' He passed the buck to the centre about the delimitation commission's recommendations of reducing the assembly and parliamentary seats for adivasis in Jharkhand.

Mr Singh, who came here for the first time after assuming the office, was accorded a warm welcome by the party workers after his arrival last evening. He was accompanied by the former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda and other senior leaders.
