Ajay Chautala re-elected CTTF chief

Chandigarh, June 3 (UNI) President of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), Ajay Singh Chautala (MP) was re-elected president of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation (CTTF).

Mr Chautala an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Rajya Sabha member was re-elected president at the general body meeting of the CTTF held at Jaipur late last evening. He would hold this post till the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi.

Mr M C Chowhan was also re-elected to the post of honorary secretary-general of the CTTF.

After his re-election, Mr Chautala thanked the members for reposing faith in his leadership. He assured the members that he would continue to work for more interaction among the Commonwealth countries.

In 2001, Mr Chautala had succeeded Mr Alan Kansome of England as CTTF head. He has been president of TTFI since 2001. He has been heading the Haryana Table Tennis Association since 1987.
