AIDEF demands interim relief
Jabalpur, June 3 (UNI) The All India Defence Employees Federation (AIDEF) today demanded that the Centre fix Rs 10,000 as the minimum salary for defence employees, pay interim relief of Rs 1,000 per month until the Sixth Pay Commission's recommendations are implemented and re-assess salaries.
''The demands for re-assessment and minimum Rs 10,000 salary are pending for two years. The AIDEF has been pressurising the Centre to lift a ban on intake in defence production units,'' AIDEF President Santosh Pathak told mediapersons in this cantonment town.
