AIDEF against privatising defence production

Jabalpur, June 3 (UNI) Defence employees will observe a nationwide protest week from tomorrow against the Centre's policy to privatise defence production.

''This compromises the country's security. On May 16, the All India Defence Employees Federation (AIDEF) submitted to Defence Minister A K Antony a memorandum in this regard,'' Federation General Secretary Kumar told mediapersons today in this cantonment town.

The AIDEF and other labour organisations will meet the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence on June 6.
