Veterinary students take out dharna

Tirupati, June 2 (UNI) The Veterinary University students resorted to dharna in front of the college against the recent appointments of doctors from other states at veterinary hospitals in Andhra Pradesh here today.

As many as 100 veterinary students squatted in front of the college and shouted slogans against the government and the Animal Husbandry Minister for the recent notification issued by the government for filling up the vacancies for doctors from other states in veterinary hospitals.

If the government filled up the posts from other states, the unemployment problem would increase for those who had completed veterinary course in the state, they lamented.
