Train services resume in Rajasthan today
New Delhi, Jun 2: The long distance trains passing through Rajasthan, which were suspended due to the ongoing Gujjar agitation in the state, will resume services today with the Railway Ministry announcing a high-level meeting to review the situation regarding the running of additional trains.
The trains running on the Mathura-Kota-Nagda route will be the first to resume. Apart from this, some trains will also start operating on the Delhi-Mumbai route including the Golden Temple Express(2904).
The Railway authorities have also decided to operate three trains on the sensitive Rewari-Jaipur section. Two additional trains will also run on the same route.
24 trains were suspended yesterday in view of the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan.
