Sugar prices ease on poor demand
Navi Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) Sugar prices eased on poor demand, traders at the Vashi Sugar Merchant's Association said today.
Sugar in small and medium grades fell by Rs three and Rs five per quintal repectively on thin buying support.
Sugar in ex-mill, small and medium grades declined by Rs 10 and Rs 20 per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,286/1,325, Medium grade: Rs 1,330/1,385, Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,260/1,275, Medium grade: Rs 1,290/1,340.
