State minister's car hits local journalist

Mumbai, June 02 (UNI) A car belonging to Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Anees Ahmed hit a local journalist, while she was crossing the road to go to her office at Andheri in the Western suburbs today.

The incident occured when Renuka Kulkarni, a journalist with CTV, a local news channel, got down from a BEST bus and was crossing the road.

Mr Ahmed's driver was not ready to take Kulkarni to the hospital initially but on realising that she was a journalist, he took her to a local doctor for first aid.
