Somanth Chatterjee given rousing reception in HP

Shimla, Jun 2 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somanth Chatterjee and his wife was given a rousing reception by Governor V S Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on his arrival here last evening, an official spokesman today said.

The Governor and the Chief Minister received the Speaker at Raj Bhawan and welcomed him to the state.

Mr Chatterjee, who is visiting the state for the first time after taking over as Speaker of the Lok Sabha, is here to inaugurate two-day conference of the Parliamentarians from the SAARC nations.

State Agriculture Minister Raj Krishan Gaur and Animal Husbandry Minister Harsh Mahajan were also present on the occasion.
