Select metal prices ease on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) Select metal prices today eased on poor industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the ferrous section, copper utensils fell by Rs 100 per quintal on thin buying support.
In the non-ferrous section, copper wire bar and aluminium ingots drifted lower by Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively on increase offers by stockists. But zinc slab and lead ingots went up by Rs 100 and Rs 50 per quintal respectively on increase of fresh demand.
Tin slab came down by Rs 5 per kg on thin buying support.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 35,400, Copper utensils - Rs 31,400, Brass utensils - Rs 25,600, Brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,700.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,800, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,900, Zinc slabs - Rs 19,200, Lead ingots - Rs 10,150, Tin slab - Rs 715 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,230 (per kg).
