RINL Apr-May sales grow 21%

Visakhapatnam, Jun 2 (UNI) Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the holding company of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), today said it achieved a record sales of Rs 1,294 crore during April-May this year registering an impressive growth of 21 per cent over corresponding period last year.

A VSP release here said RINL sold of 1.87 lakh tonne of value added steel in the same period clocking 62 per cent growth over the same period last year.

The share of Value Added Steel in total sales in terms of volume stood at 46 per cent, higher by nine per cent than the target set by the RINL.

The project sales volume of 92,000 tonne during April and May this year also showed a growth of eight per cent over the same period last year.

The export sales of Rs 75 crore during April and May this year represented 20 per cent growth over the same period last year.
