One held under PASA for displaying Laden's posters

Vadodara, June 2 (UNI) One person was arrested today under Prevention of Anti-Social Activities (PASA) Act for participating in a rally on May 25 in which posters of al qaeda leader Osama bin Laden were displayed.

Mohammad Zubair Memon, who runs a mobile phone repairing shop, was picked up today from his shop. He has been sent to the Central jail at Jamnagar.

Last Wednesday, Sajjid Khan Chotemiya Patha, a resident of Yakatpura, was arrested under PASA for the same reason and is now lodged in the Porbandar jail. Vadodara police said many more persons are likely to be arrested in this connection.

The city police is also probing a conspiracy angle to the demonstrations using the Bin Laden's posters after Friday's ''namaaz'' on May 25 that were followed by rioting in the Mandvi area in the afternoon.

Sajjid is suspected to be main person behind the protests while Zubair is a close associate. Sajjid is also implicated in a murder case.
