NSA promulgated as arson=violence reported from some places
Jaipur, June 2 (UNI) The Rajasthan Government has enforced National Securuty Act in 10 Gujjar agitation hit districts of the state even as incidents of arson-violence occurred and bandhs were organised at some places including Dausa and Lalsot.
Home Secretary V S Singh told reporters here today that NSA had been enforced in Jaipur, Karauli, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Dausa, Alwar, Kota, Jhalawar, and Dholpur districts for effective curb the activities of miscreants who indulged in damaging national properties or disrupting peace. This would enpower the respective district collector to book, if required, rioters under NSA.
While incidents of arson and violence were reported from some places in Jaipur, Tonk, Dausa and Chittorgarh districts even as Bandhs were orgnaised at a few places including Dausa and Lalsot.
Miscreants indulgged in violence in Amli in Tonk district and set afire the police post of the village. A mob of Gujjar youths damaged Signals system and power supply of signal room at the Sanganer railway station on the outskirit of Jaipur. The signals room later caught fire due to short circuit.
Meanwhile, a group of youths damaged shops in Dausa market during a bandh observed in protest against a clash between Meena and Gujjars in Lalsot yesterday.
