New Delhi, June 2: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said he was optimistic and positive about the Indo-US Civilian Nuclear deal.

Denying any deadlock in the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal, the External Affairs Minister said talks were going on and hoped for something positive to come up soon.

''No, there is no deadlock. Talks are going on. Something will come up soon. Let's see what happens,'' he told reporters here when asked if the deal has reached a deadlock.

US Under Secretary of State Nicholas Burns, who concludes his three-day visit this evening, and Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon met for the third day today to sort out the controversial differences on the 123 agreement.

The two countries are aiming at sorting out differences particularly on issues like reprocessing right, perpetuity of fuel supplies and continuance of the civil nuclear cooperation if India were to conduct an atomic test.

India has been insisting on having the right to reprocess spent nuclear fuel and is not ready to accept any legally binding clause in the agreement that could cap its strategic nuclear programme.
