Explosives recovered from Gaya village
Gaya, June 2 (UNI) Police today recovered explosives and other objectionable articles from extremist dominated Basua village under Fatehpur police station in Gaya district.
District superintendent of police Amit Kumar Jain said here that acting on a tip off, a police team raided Basua village and recovered 75 kg of explosives, 11 cane bomb, eight detonators, two metre fuse wire, one gelatine wire, two sets of uniform, powder used in explosives and other objectionable articles from a hideout in the village.
The Ultras belonging to CPI(Maoist) were taking shelter in the village and escaped on viewing the police raid, Mr jain said.
Police launched intensive search for the extremists, Mr Jain said.
