Consumer price index announced

Hyderabad, June 2 (UNI) The average state industrial workers consumer price index (CPI) numbers for the second half year ending December, 2006, has been declared as 559 points applicable from April one, 2007 to September 30, 2007.

The price index declared by Andhra Pradesh Commissioner of Labour, Hyderabad, is applicable for various scheduled employments except in the employment in tobacco (including beedi making) manufactoring for the purpose of calculation of variable dearness allowance.

In respect of the employment in tobacco (including beedi making) manufacturing, the average CPI points is 548, which is effective for the period from April one, 2007 to March 31, 2008.
