Consensus emerging with agitating Gujjar's: Javadekar

Jaipur, June 2 (UNI) A consensus for peaceful solution the ongoing Gujjar agitation for inclusion of the community in the Schedule Tribe list was reportedly emerging, even as much awaited talks between Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and agitating Gujjar community leaders opened here this afternoon.

Ms Raje joined in the dialogue during the fifth round of talks between the group of ministers and 11 member delegation of the agitating Gujjar community.

BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde, who reached here this morning to review the situation, was also facilitating the talks which began at the Chief Minister's official residence here this afternoon.

Besides the Chief Minister and members of group of ministers, Panchayati Raj Minister Kalu Lal Gujjar and five other BJP MLAs from Gujjar community, also participated in the talks BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar told reporters here.

Mr Javadekar said the talks were advancing in the right direction and a consensus appeared to emerge during this round of talks.

He said the talks would continue this evening in a phased manner.

The spokesman had dismissed possibility of resignation by Food and Civil Supply Minister Kirodi Lal Meena and other Meena legislators.

He said that no body was unhappy in the party and no no resignations were likely.
