BJP's poser to Congress members
Hyderabad, June 2 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister C H Vidyasagar Rao today asked the Congress members from Andhra region, who had quit the Committee constituted by Speaker K R Suresh Reddy to supervise the implementation of the Governmet Order 610, to resign from the Assembly also.
GO 610 stipulates repatriation of employees of other regions working in Telangana to their respective areas so that locals can get job opportunities.
Speaking to newspersons, Mr Rao said quitting the Assembly committee was an insult to the Speaker as he had nominated them and if the members from the Andhra region wanted to register any protest, they should do so by resigning from their assembly membership.
Five of the seven MLAs, who had resigned, met the Speaker yesterday and told him that some of the members of the committee were of the opinion that they were standing in the way of the implementation of the GO and this had pained them.
They said they were quitting the committee as they wanted the GO to be implemented wholeheartedly.
