Bandhs observed in Dausa
Jaipur, June 2 (UNI) Bandhs were today observed in Lalsot and Dausa towns of Dausa district, which witnessed clashes between Meenas and Gujjars that left four people dead and 43 injured yesterday.
According to police, the Army were patrolling Lalsot where tension was still palpable. There were reports of sporadic scuffles between the two communities overnight.
Some kiosks of a particular community were set afire today and group of Gujjars tried to put up road block in the area.
Gujjar protestors torched a police post in Aamli in Tonk district.
They would also hold a panchayat in Uniara today.
Rajasthan's borders with neighbouring states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have been sealed to prevent entry of Gujjars from these states.
The next round of talks was expected later this afternoon.
The Gujjar leaders have expressed their intention to have direct talks with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
