Aditya Birla posts 3.35 pc growth in cement prod

Mumbai, Jun 2: Aditya Birla group posted a 3.35 per cent growth in cement production during April-May at 54.63 lakh metric tonnes as against 52.86 lakh metric tonnes in the corresponding period last year.

During the period, the dispatches grew by 4.39 per cent to 54.44 lakh MT from 52.15 lakh metric tonnes.

Cement production and dispatches for the month of May was at 27.05 lakh metric tonnes and 27.10 lakh metric tonnes, registering a growth of 3.66 per cent and 4.75 per cent respectively, a press release said.
