AAU junior engineer held while accepting bribe
Anand, June 2 (UNI) A junior engineer with Anand Agriculture University (AAU) was today caught red-handed by ACB sleuths from Nadiad while allegedly accepting a bribe.
T D Vala had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 35,000 from a contractor Deepak Hariram Sharma for clearing his final bill. Sharma had recently built a girls hostel in AAU.
Vala had met Sharma and allegedly asked for the bribe to clear his bill at the earliest. Sharma agreed to pay Rs 15,000 initially, but, at the same time, lodged a complaint with the ACB.
On Sharma's complaint, ACB sleuths PI A M Mansoori and PI G P Patel and their team laid a trap and caught Vala.
