4 naxals slain in Chhattisgarh

Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, June 2 (UNI) Four naxals, including two women, were killed in a police encounter today at a forest near Pendra in this district of Bastar division.

''The encounter involved a patrol comprising CRPF, district police and special police officers,'' said Inspector-General Girdhari Nayak.

The deceased were unidentified and the bodies were being brought to Farsegarh. Three guns, two hand grenades and other explosives were seized from the site.
