16 miners rescued from 120 ft deep colliery
Asansol, June 02 (UNI) Altogether 16 people, who were trapped in a 120 feet deep colliery, have been rescued by the mines rescue personnel early today.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) PRO Kaushik Gupta said, the rescued miners also include the assistant manager of ECL.
The miners had been trapped inside the pit yesterday after they entered it through an alternative route as they avoided the main route, which was reportedly unsafe.
All the rescued are now out of danger and have been kept under medical supervision, Mr Gupta said.
