16 kg poppy husk seized, one held

Jalandhar, June 2 (UNI) Police today arrested a person and recovered 16 kg of poppy husk from his possession.

Police said the alleged accused Mangal, a resident of village Ahamadpur in Kapurthala district, was arrested with 16 kg of poppy husk near a police checkpost put up by Maqsudan police station.

The accused was booked under NDPS Act and further investigations are on, police said.
