Madhya Pradesh: Rural Bank looted, 2 hurt
Tikamgarh(MP), June 1: Unidentified youth looted Rs 8.80 lakh at gun point from the Bundelkhand Regional Rural Bank's Civil Lines branch here today after injuring the Branch Manager and a messenger, police said.
Police said few people, who arrived on two motor cycles, attacked the manager and messenger as they entered the branch carrying a bag containing the cash brought from nearby main branch.
Messenger Rajendra Ahirwar got gun shot wound inflicted from a country-made revolver, while Manager Arvind Tripathi was also injured in the attack. Both were hospitalised, police added.
Police launched a drive to nab the culprits.
