Rs One Cr released for constructing buildings for 132 DegreeColleges

Bangalore, June 1 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Higher Education D H Shankarmurthy today said that the government had sanctioned Rs One crore for construction of buildings to 132 new degree colleges to be started from this academic year.

Talking to newsmen here, that the government had already given clearance for starting 104 new Colleges and remaining 28 would be sanctioned soon.

He said that land had been acquired for providing own buildings to 120 colleges as of now.

The government had already released 30 per cent of the funds sanctioned to each of the new Colleges for having its own building, he added.
