International convention on climate change
Dharamshala, June 1 (UNI) A three-day international convention on ''Corporate Response to Climate Change'' is being organised at Palampur in Kangra district from June eight.
Talking to media persons here, Regional Director of the World Environment Foundation, KB Ralhan, said the convention would be preceded with Eco-Investors Forum to attract investors for starting projects in the renewable sources of energy sector such as wind, solar power and small hydro power projects in the state.
The convention is being organised by World Environment Foundation (UK) in association with World Council for Corporate Governance, Carbon Disclosure Project (UK), United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and European Business school. Mr Ralhan said top fifty investors, former Sweden Prime Minister Olla Ulsten and 400 other delegates from around the world have been invited to participate in the meeting.
