HDMC orders inquiry against nurse

Hubli, June 1 (UNI) Hubli-Dharwad City Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Commissioner Manivannan has ordered a departmental inquiry into the allegations against a nurse, attached to HDMC hospital.

The nurse Shantamma, who was on the verge of superannuation, had allegedly prepared a bogus order in the name of Commissioner stating that 600 vacancies were to be filled in the HDMC and collected money from the aspirants to the tune of lakhs of rupees.

The Commissioner also stayed all retirement benefits due to the nurse except pension, pending enquiry.
