Dharmsansad to protect Ram Setu
Bhopal, June 1 (UNI) The Bajrang Dal is organising a Dharmsansad at Delhi on July 21 and 22 to determine a strategy for an agitation to protect the Palk Strait's Ram Setu from demolition to facilitate smoother ship movement.
''The Dal will implement whatever decision seers take at that event, which is the brainchild of a Margdarshak Mandal (advisory board) meeting held on May 23 and 24. The Setu is a symbol of Hindu faith. As many as 10,000 monks will attend the Dharmsansad,'' Dal Convenor Prakash Sharma told journalists here today.
Warning that the struggle would be taken upto Parliament and even spill onto streets, he locked horns with those supporting a policy of ''minorities' appeasement'' by saying that such appeasers were playing with Hindu faith.
''Our slogan is 'Ram Mandir banayenge, Ram Setu bachayenge' (the Dal will construct the Ram temple at Ayodhya and save the Setu),'' Mr Sharma added.
