CPM Punjab to intensify struggle for subsidised 'Atta-Daal'
Jalandhar, June 1 (UNI) The Punjab CPM led by Mangat Ram Pasla has decided to intensify its mass-based struggle for implementation of the subsidised 'Atta-Daal' scheme as promised by the Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD)-BJP Government.
A meeting of the state secretariat of the party was held here today under the chairmanship of senior CPM leader Bodh Singh Ghuman.
The secretariat decided to further intensify the struggle for implementation of the promise to provide wheat flour at Rs four per kg and pulses at Rs 20 per kg.
The secretariat also decided to organise massive dharnas, rallies and demonstratons at sub-division level from June four to nine at 24 different places in the state. It has also decided to organise a state level convention at Bal Bhawan, Chandigarh on July eight against criminalisation of the Indian polity.
