Collectorate Superintendent arrested

Visakhapatnam, June 1 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested the Superintendent in Visakhapatnam District Collectorate Smt K Sumathi Bai for possessing wealth disproportionate to her known sources of income.

The ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police K Koteswara Rao told UNI here that apart from her house, the officials raided five houses of her siblings in Hyderabad and Akkayapalem here and seized gold, a car, land and incriminatory documents.

Ealier, she was working as M.R.O. in Bheemunipatnam. Her husband K Jayanarayana was working in DSP rank in the State Police Transportation Organisation (PTO) at Hyderabad, Mr Rao said.

Investigation was on, he added.
