CM assures due compensation and probe into violence

Jaipur, Jun 1 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today assured that her government would provide proper compensation to the victims of violence and subsequent police firings during Gujjars' protests at various places in the state.

Ms Raje also assured of an inquiry into the circumstances of incidents during the past four days.

The Chief Minister said, ''I feel that compensation and inquiry in the incidents are due and the same will be ensured.'' Ms Raje also assured the agitating Gujjar community that the state government was committed to safeguarding the interests of all sections of society and rendering justice to all.

She said the state government was always open for a dialogue on any justified demand from any section or community.
