Call opens weaker at 1.00-1.25
Mumbai, June 1 (UNI) Call money opened at 1.00-1.25 per cent today, slightly up from yesterday's close of 0.50-0.75.
The yield on the 10-year federal bond stood at 8.08 per cent.
According to traders, the government is expected to borrow Rs 9,000 crore via bond auctions between 1-8 June this year.
The call money rates had touched a low of 0.25 per cent in 1993.
Yesterday, the rates touched a day's high of 2 per cent, but came down later to close the trade at 0.50-0.75.
