Army nabs ULFA associate

Guwahati, June 1 (UNI) An associate of the banned ULFA was apprehended here today by the Army.

Army sources said one Lankeshwar Sonowal of Na Bajalani near Lankasi under Bordubi police station in Tinsukia district was apprehended during an operation this morning.

The accused has confessed to have provided logistic support to the ULFA, besides helping in extortion drives, threats and disseminating information about movement of security forces, the sources added.
