Punjab: Around 300 shops gutted in fire

Mohali, Jun 1: Around 300 shops were gutted when a fire broke out in Khoka (kiosks) market in Phase 3B1 of the city, this morning.

However there was no loss of life in the fire. The loss of property, which may run into crores was being assessed, fire brigade sources said.

The blaze which occured in the wee hrs this morning was controlled after five tenders faught the flames for about four hours.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained, the police said.
