300 shops gutted in fire

Mohali, June 1 (UNI) About 300 shops were gutted when a fire broke out in a kiosk market of the city this morning.

However, there was no casualties. The loss of property, which may run into crores was being assessed, fire brigade sources said.

The blaze which broke out in the wee hours was controlled by five fire tenders after four hours.

The cause of the fire was being ascertained, the police said.
