World Kannada Conference in Belgaum during September

Mysore, May 31 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Kannada and Culture H S Mahadeva Prasad today said that the Vishwa Kannada Sammelana (World Kannada Conference) will be held in Belgaum in September this year.

Talking to newsmen, he said that a Sub-Committee, headed by the Chief Minister, formed for this purpose would meet in Bangalore in the first week of June and later in Belgaum to discuss preparations, programmes of the Conference.

Mr Mahadeva Prasad said that the Centre has approved a Rs Five Crore project for tourism development in Camarajanagara District.

The project would be implemented soon.
